What’s a happy place?

Happy place is all about associations - the feelings or emotions tied to a certain event, movie, TV programme, or a place.
Associations are a significant part of our lives. Our mind makes connections and associations in a snap.

If you meet someone and you're in a happy mood, your mind will instantly associate that person with positive feelings.

If you're grieving about something (your result or something else) and tried having some food which didn't taste good (of course because your appetite died), you might develop negative feelings about that food for a certain time.

These associations are formed unconsciously - implying we do not do this on purpose.

A loved person turns every situation or movie or a place into a happy place. That's why we say, "that person is my happy place".

Associations make up great memories. They help you remember loads of things. You'd always remember that late night snack with your best friends or siblings or husband/wife because you had so much fun !
They become your happy place.

You'd never forget how yummy your University food tasted because you were carefree at that time.
That's your happy place.

You can never get over that feeling happiness that you get when you cosy up in a warm blanket with your little one and tell them stories,
Your child is your happy place..

Make memories, positive ones. Cherish them ..
There's no limit to the number of happy places one can have.

Build loads of happy places. Train your mind to find happiness and your mind's power of association will do the trick.

Gratitude brings happiness. Be contented and you'll be happy!
