Along with abusive relationships, the ones we generally don’t talk about in our society, or which are hushed down and swept under the rug, are toxic ones.

Such relationships eat you up. They prey on your self esteem and mental peace. They engulf you in their toxicity and you are left with no soul of your own, no will of your own, and doubting every second of your existence.

Because such relationships do not usually have a scar to physically show someone, they are mostly disregarded. Any complain by the wife or husband somehow ends up in, “what’s the big deal? He’s keeping you happy na? He isn’t starving you? Or worse, physically beating you?”

Yes, we all thank God a thousand times maybe that he’s not doing that, but what HE IS doing is also not a thing to ignore.

HE/SHE MIGHT DAMAGING YOUR WHOLE MENTAL WELL BEING AND MEANING OF LIFE by downplaying you, constantly ridiculing you, incessantly overpowering you with his or her own capabilities while undermining yours!

THIS IS ALSO VERY SERIOUS!

Nevertheless, our society still doesn’t accept this as a reason for one partner to get mad at the other and try to voice his or her concern!
Please be more empathetic towards poeple trying to get out of a toxic relationship, and as a society, try not to make it more difficult than it probably already is.
